This is it. The final stretch of high school. Eight graders are ready to start their final four years, while seniors are ready to start their lives. The grades in between aren’t important.

With only three days of school left, it’s no surprise that a lot of students have already mentally erased the thought of learning from their minds. Summer is just out of reach, but that won’t stop anyone from trying to grab a hold of it anyway.
Make sure you’re ready to make this summer the best one you’ve had.
The sun isn’t friendly. Your vacation from school is almost three months long, and will probably be filled with pool parties and visits to the beach. If you’re going to be exposed to the sun’s rays for an extended period of time, take 15 seconds to apply sunblock on beforehand.
Sunburns are painful and the least of your worries. Especially with weather like Las Vegas has. Your skin can be seriously harmed and that’s going to hurt a lot.
Make it rain. This is especially important for seniors. If you’re going to be dorming in college, or even renting out your own place, you’re going to need money, and a lot of it.
Not only will you have living fees, but you’ll have to pay for food, textbooks, and have extra for anything that comes up.
Have a job or a savings account. Prepare yourself for real life. Summer is only three months long, so that’s how long you have to get ready.
Make amends. Whether you’re a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior, some people who you saw in the halls this year won’t be there again next year. Friend or not, this break is going to be your last chance to say goodbye, so make it count.
