the judges are Mr. West, Dean Rahmani, Mr. Kilmer, and Ms. Reagh.

The 2014 Mr. Chargertastic contestants include Conrad Kauffman (whose stage name is, indeed, Nicholas Cage), Michael Mooney, Jose Soto-Valdez, Paul Cho, David Lopez-Wade, Kevin Tuncab, Coy Shinn, and Lorenzo Truino. The eight contestants begin the show with a very… entertaining introduction with escorts from student council.

Rocking the hottest, runway worthy Charger apparel, including black and gold tutus, the eight contestants give the audience a show that would put the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to shame.

Their dance number to a mix of songs including Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” as well as Miley Cyrus’s infamous “We Can’t Stop” shows the audience what it really means for a man to be completely secure with his masculinity.

And thus, the talent showcase for the contestants begins.

First off is Jose with a magic trick that takes the phrase “mind-blown” to a whole new level.  His trick is followed by Kevin Tuncab’s choreography to Fine China by Chris Brown.

Then came Paul Cho, whose beat boxing skills were that which would make one wonder, “What if someone could fart like that?”

Next was David, whose true Charger colors were revealed through a marvelous cheer routine that would make even the best cheerleader in the world feel inadequate.

Then came Lorenzo’s soulful cover of the classic song, “Lean On Me” that captured the hearts of most (if not all) of the audience.

The audience was then delighted by another magic trick performed by none other than Coy Shinn himself.
Then Michael surprised the audience with a cover of “Rap God”, which in the end he definitely came to be.

And last but not least, Conrad Kauffman performed a dance number that was both impressive yet funny.

After the talent showcasing portion of Mr. Chargertastic ends, the contestants are really put to the test with mini-games that would reveal who was really cut out to win the crown.

And when you thought it couldn’t get any more competitive, the contestants were quizzed on how much they really knew about the school they’ve attended for so long. Questions ranged from asking what the school colors were to the year Clark was built.

The judges have decided.

Congratulations to this year’s Mr. Chargertastic winners:

Mr. Chargertastic – Conrad Kauffman
Richie Rich – Kevin Tuncab
Mr. Humanitarian – Coy Shinn
King of Hearts – Lorenzo Truino and David Lopez-Wade

Though not all contestants won an award, Mr. Chargertastic was still a fun event for the Class of 2014’s senior boys.

“My favorite part about Chargertastic was getting close to the guys again,” said winner Conrad Kauffman.

Mr. Chargertastic is always an enjoyable experience whether you’re watching or participating in the event. It allows a sense of greater camaraderie between ‘bros’ and it’s definitely seen throughout all the marvelous performances.

As the lights go out and the curtains separate, the audience roars in anticipation of Clark High Schools annual “Mr. Chargertastic” show. This year, eight gentlemen are performing and showcasing their best talents in the effort to win the hearts of Clark’s student body. Among
